When? March 24: 4:00-6:00pm (California, PST/GMT-8) no need to register, watch live through the venue’s YouTube channel: Green Room, Placerville, California.

What? Storytelling Sunday is a monthly performance event of poetry, story, and music at the Green Room bar in Placerville, California. At this themed special event – in solidarity with the International Working-Class StoryFest and in celebration of Women’s History Month – we will perform creative work that tributes working-class women.

More? The Showcase will feature six acts of poetry, music, and short story by Beverly Parayno, Estela Victoria-Cordero, Jen Vernon, Zheyla Henriksen, Rina Wakefield, and Lara Gularte. A live art piece will be created during the show by Rebecca Billingsley of Rabbit Whole Studio. An open-mic of local creatives performing 3-min. acts of original works will follow. Musical guest Ezra DeVore will open the night and perform during intermission.

Why?

The International Working-Class StoryFest emerges from solidarity across diverse working-class creatives and audiences. We aim to spark dialogue among working-class people. Working-class storytelling takes many forms. We called working-class storytellers to curate three days of solidarity, joy, and celebration of working-class life. Come join us to watch and listen to the show!
