Betsy Leondar-Wright and Jack Metzgar welcome Professor Gloria J. Browne-Marshall at the next Talking Class webinar,

“Unity & Disunity in Progressive Protest Movements” on Thursday, January 15, from 7 to 8:30 pm ET.

Register for the free, interactive webinar here: Eventbrite

(And if you can’t make the date, register anyway, as the video recording will be sent to all registrants.)

In her new book, A Protest History of the United States, Professor Gloria J. Browne-Marshall writes about past examples when white working-class men, people of color and women have protested together to win victories — but also about times when disunity, racism and/or sexism have weakened social movements. She will draw out implications from that history to the path forward for multiracial, cross-class progressive movements in the coming years.
