Working Class Storyfest in the Works!
Working Class Storyfest in the Works!
An international Working Class Storyfest co-organized by the Working-Class Studies Association, the Working Class Theatre Makers, and the Working Class Collective is in the works. Have a story to share? Want to pull up a chair? Don’t miss it! When is it? March 22-23, 2024 across various time-zones. How will it happen? Streamed live online from local performance venues across time-zones, pre-recorded, and/or other ways. What to submit? …we will take anything stories, poems, music, methods, ideas, images, photos, artwork~ there is no end in how we tell our stories.
The Working Class Storyfest is an online international event to take place over two days aiming to have an international dialogue and solidarity with all working class people. Working class storytelling takes on many forms from the written and spoken word, to visual all art form, and of course music, folklore and the telling of tales, and yarns, all the way through to using those yarns in knitting, sewing, and craft work; we are calling all of those working class storytellers to get in touch with us so we can curate 2 days of solidarity and joy and celebration of working class life.
How to submit? Email workingclassstoriesfest@gmail.com by January 29, ’24.
